Highly skilled Recovery Coaching

What Recovery Coaching is:

Recovery Coaching is a type of service in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Recovery Coaching helps you get the most out of your NDIS plan.

What is included in the Recovery Coaching service?

Recovery Coaches do not try to treat mental illness, they provide the support and the structure for you to understand your own strengths, and to develop the resources you need to achieve your goals.

Our Recovery Coaching service includes supports such as:

  • Discussing your support needs with you.
  • Working with you to understand your goals.
  • Creating ways for you to use your own strengths.
  • Finding and organising supports for you.
  • Attending appointments or activities with you.
  • Managing your support budgets.
  • Communicating with your supports.
  • Resolving problems with your supports.
  • Resolving problems preventing you from accessing supports.
  • Building your capacity to manage your supports independently.
  • Preparing for your next NDIS plan.

Support Coordination

What Support Coordination is:

Support Coordination is a type of service in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

  • Educating you on managing support budgets.
  • Developing communication between you and your supports.
  • Assisting you to resolve problems with your supports.

Wellbeing Facilitation

What Wellbeing Facilitation is:

Our goal is for people to experience improved wellbeing. To assist with that, we have workers called Wellbeing Facilitators.

Our Wellbeing Facilitators provide services in the funding category of Capacity Building – Increased Social and Community Participation.

What is included in the Wellbeing Facilitation service?

A Wellbeing Facilitator is like a coach – the aim isn’t to complete your goals for you. Instead, they guide you to use your own strengths to make progress on your wellbeing goals. This means they’ll do things with you, rather than for you.

A Wellbeing Facilitator will meet with you regularly to work on your wellbeing goals.

There are some things a Wellbeing Facilitator is not able to do. These include:

  • Provide cleaning, gardening, repair, or other home maintenance services.
  • Provide personal care services like showering, dressing, feeding, or lifting.
  • Do tasks or errands without you, except in exceptional circumstances.
  • Store, administer, or manage your medication or your money.
  • Prepare meals.
